On behalf of the Lawra Municipal Assembly, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Shea Enrichment Planting Initiative at the CIKOD conservation site in Pavuu, within the Lawra Municipality.
The initiative is aimed at restoring and enriching the local shea tree population, supporting both environmental conservation and the livelihoods of women shea gatherers in the Municipality. The launch event brought together traditional leaders, community members, and officials from the Assembly to mark the beginning of this important conservation effort.
The Assembly extends its appreciation to CIKOD and all partners involved in making this initiative possible, and looks forward to the positive impact it will bring to the Lawra Municipality's environment and economy.
